How kept down there will you be when you give birth/gave birth? (unsure of what I should do?🤔)

I shaved just because I felt like it would make it easier for me to care for any damage afterward. You don't have to shave for the Dr's sake, certainly.

Hair helps keep out harmful bacteria and provides a cushion against friction. Doctors have even said that removing hair harms instead of helps when it comes to minor surgeries (like stitches), and if they find it necessary they will do it themselves. The irritation caused by the removal of genital leaves the skin irritated and I flamed which makes it easier for bacteria to grow and enter the body. Shaving is a choice, but overall is a bad one, especially when it comes to child birth. My two cents.

I like to be trimmed in general but specifically for birth, with all the blood and stitches going on down there for about 6 weeks after the birth, I want it as short as possible.
