we're waiting the reccomended 6 months since she's exclusively breastfed.

Our boy's doctor wants him eating iron fortified single grain cereals to boost his iron stores bc they apparently plummet around 6 months.  it has taken us several tries but 2 nights ago he figured it out and seemed to enjoy it.  After a couple of weeks with success with cereals (rice, then oatmeal,) we are going to move onto veggies.  I plan to start him with sweet potato, avocado, and banana.  We only do one serving a day of whatever because breastfeeding is his primary source of nutrition still.

She hasn't had cereals or puréed but she's had tastes of fruits. So far banana, mango, peach and cantaloupe. If I eat a fruit and she shows interest I'll give her a taste of what I am eating

we got the okay to start purees, she hasnt really enjoyed much of it the only thing shes liked so far is pears.

my lb have been on porridge for a couple of weeks now and we added puree this week. however he had his 4 month immunisations on Wednesday which made him a bit poorly he's gone off his formula and preferring food to the point he's had 3 meals today because he wouldn't take a bottle. but he's happy and it doesn't seem to be affecting his digestion so I'm just going to carry on with what he wants, fed is best :)

We had our 4 month check up today and got the ok for purees. I was told that right now it's not for nutrition, more for taste and texture acclimating. I was also told that cereal was empty calories. We tried pears. Little man only took 3 bites but didn't seem very interested. We'll try a couple of bites a day and see how it goes.

my daughter has been eating purees since she turned 4 months (her pedis recommendation because of my daughters reflux.) 
and she's been LOVING it! 
today she had oatmeal mixed with apple puree for breakfast. then for dinner we tried prunes. prunes were the first thing that she loved the taste immediately. normally she makes a sour face at the first bite, then she's all over it. but with prunes she was SOOOOO excited!

My ped ok-ed us for this. My son just turned 4 months on the 27th so we are just going to wait a bit longer.

my girl loves apples, pears, sweet potatoes! hates carrots and the cereal though!
