Baby shower for 3rd child??

I'm currently pregnant with my 3rd child and am due in January. I always thought you only had a baby shower for the 1st baby but my children are 6 and 7 so I will be starting all over. What do you think??

I have a 5yo and a 3yo and I'm pregnant with my third and it would help to have a shower (or maybe just a sprinkle!) We need a new car seat for this one because the infant seat we used with my other kids is expired. And if its a girl, we are going to need some new clothes because this baby and my girl will be born in different seasons. I didn't have anything between my first and second because all I needed was clothes and a friend loaned me a bunch of stuff. 
I had a cousin who had 2 kids and then a long break and then her third and she didn't have anything so she needed a shower and I thought it was great!
If you don't have anything I'm sure everyone that loves you will be happy to help get you ready for baby!

Same situation here. It's my 3rd pregnancy, but 4th child(had twins) and I don't know if I really want one. I may just throw a bbq or something like this.

my MIL is throwing one for me,  and this is my third child.  it's my husband's first (and her first grandchild).  my youngest is 7, I have no essential items already.  I think if there's a significant age gap then by all means,  go for it.  If they were super close together I'd think it'd be tacky to do a full shower and would just do a 'sprinkle' instead.

I think you should celebrate each child's birth separately. You don't have to have a "baby shower", but you can have a gathering with friends and family.

My SIL had her daughter in April, then I had my daughter in December, them my SIL had her son in October. She had a baby shower for both kids. I thought it was tacky. 
I'm pregnant again with my second husband. It's our first together. My daughter is 12 yo now and his kids are 16, 10 & 9. So we have a tight budget and nothing left of baby things from before. 
I'm very uncomfortable with a baby shower. But his family is insisting. So yesterday when asked about the baby's theme, I said "practical" lol. It's another girl but other than that there's no theme. 
I am grateful for their thoughtfulness and trying to be gracious.

This is my third child and it's been 7 years since my last baby. I have absolutely NOTHING kept from previous pregnancies. It's like starting completely over with my first. A baby shower would be a dream come true for me at this point - although I'm certainly not expecting one. I don't see a problem with having one for every child. Any birth is a reason to celebrate. Why not welcome each child as if they're just as important?! After all, isn't that partially the reason behind a baby shower? To shower them with love?

I just had a baby shower for my 4th baby. Our other kids are 12, 10 & 8. We have zero baby stuff. My family and friends insisted and I'm so glad they did. I think if there is a large age gap, it's perfectly acceptable to have another shower.

If I have multiple showers I plan to not do a registry. If people ask I will give them ideas but explain no gifts are necessary. I just want to celebrate my babes!
