Baby Shower

How do you feel about having a say in planning your baby shower? My husband is adamant on me not having any part in the planning of my baby shower. Instead he's trying to collaborate with my friend & they take care of everything. I don't want to sound ungrateful, but I'd honestly rather make plans for my own baby shower. The big issue is that my friend has problems with pretty much everyone I'm friends with. She always has some slick comment whenever I hang with or talk with anyone else. It's annoying to be honest. He knows how I feel about that because I expressed it to him numerous times & he honestly doesn't care for it either. How should I talk to him about it? Anytime I say anything about baby shower plans he cuts me off & tells me "Don't worry about it."
