My doctor wants to to stop by 20 weeks but my baby is only 6 months and I wanted to make it to at least a year 😔

Unless this is a high risk pregnancy I don't see why you couldn't nurse throughout the entire pregnancy and then go on to tandem nurse both babes.

I think the main concern is that you are getting enough nutrients for the pregnancy/new baby because breast milk requires a lot to produce.

My sister had a miscarriage and is unable to breastfeed while pregnant. Breastfeeding causes your uterus to contract and can cause a miscarriage. I know lots of people who do it with no problems, but since she had a history of miscarriage, she was not able.

Did your doctor tell you the reasons why he wants you to stop? I'm sure they must be valid.
