Spelling change too different?

I really love the name Caroline for a girl, but was thinking of changing the spelling to Caraline because I like Cara as a nick name better than Carol. What do you ladies think?

I would still go with Caroline but still call her Cara

I'd stay with Caroline and still nickname her Cara. I know tons of Nicole's who spell their nicknames Nicki.

I like it. Just keep in mind that her whole life she'll have to deal with people spelling her name wrong.

Carolina has a sublet OH sound and Caraline sounds like a different name to me. You can still call her Cara if you go with Caroline.
