New start?

My boyfriend of 2 years just got a job offer to another state and is wanting me to move with him. I currently have all my family here and good job. I don't want to leave without more commitment but he's not "ready". I really don't want to see him go but I don't want to leave everything I have. WHAT DO I DO.

Take all your "leaves" from your work, or ask for a summer vacation off, don't quit your job. Go with him for a month or two (however long your leaves are) and while you're there with him, search for better job opportunities and see how things go for you there. If everything was great between you and your bf there and if you can settle down with a good job, then why not? Then again, do what makes you happy and comfortable.

Personally I would not uproot my life without some sort of commitment, but that's just me. I have no issue relocating for love, but I'm not giving up my life for someone who doesn't want to share theirs fully with me.

I left a great job, my home town, for over 30 years, and currently travel the road with my man! I rent my home out, so I guess technically I still have something back home. It's tough, I miss some things (friends, family, familiar places), but it's also very exciting. We get to start fresh, and build our bond together. We get to experience a lot of things, first times, together. It's not a decision to be made without thought, but I have been happy. The way I look at it, you have one life, enjoy it. If things don't work out, you'll bounce back, and you'll have an experience that has taught you something.
