How much are you feeding your baby?

I'm so irritated! Every time I talk to a doctor they tell me something completely different. I was told to let the baby eat as much as he wants and today I see a doctor that says only give him an ounce every 3-4 hours. My baby is 9 pounds I seriously doubt that an ounce is really going to keep him full. Right now on his own he is putting down around 3oz. I don't think I should be restricting him. Opinions?

My dr said feed him as much as he wants! My son is two weeks old today he eats between 2 and 3 oz every 2 to 4 hours.. I thought I was over feeding him but his weight gain is perfect.. the dr said they go threw growth spurts and eat a ton!

Feed him when he wants give him 3 oz that's fine! Mines is also 9 lbs and he drinks exactly 3 oz

My baby boy is 8lbs 9 oz and now he is 11 days old eating 3 oz pretty much each feeding.

Don't restrict him but if he's spitting up a lot he may be eating more than he can handle. If not then I don't see the problem in letting him eat whenever he's hungry!

It's according to age and each baby is different. My premie baby(born at 35 weeks) only ate 1 oz every 2 hours for the first week or so.  At three weeks he is now eating 2-3 oz every 3-4 hours.

1oz doesn't seem like enough to me! When my son was 10 days old I was already pumping 10 ounces at times which told me he was taking in quite a bit! He was never over weight and the doc never had us cut down. He was taking at least 3 oz from week one!

My son eats 2-3 oz every hour or two when he is hungry and his doctor seems happy with that and so does lactation

My baby girl was 9lbs 10oz at birth & was eating almost 2oz, now she's 3 weeks weighing 10lbs 12oz & is eating 4oz!! 😩😩😩
