Azoospermia there is some hope

Michele

I may be getting ahead of myself too much. I am scared to share too much positive news, knowing all too well things could change in a different direction.

For anyone who has a partner suffering from azoospermia there is hope.

My husband had zero sperm in his seman analysis in May. After many emotional weeks (both good and bad) we had an appointment with a RE last Wednesday.

Yesterday morning he went for his blood work and they results came back less than 24 hours later for his FSH, Testosterone, and Prolactin. All are in normal ranges. :) This is a good indication his body makes sperm.

Further tests were done for chromosomes and such that should be back in the coming 1-2 weeks. This is where I'm hoping it will be okay.

We know going into this that the ONLY way is via ICSI/IVF and TESA. But the outcomes look very hopeful. This is moving much quicker than imagined and unlike low sperm counts this procedure doesn't necessarily require us to try other approaches for months and months before taking it to the most extreme. (ICSI/IVF)

The downfall, the cost is about $15k
