When is it okay to be entitled?

People seem to complain about entitlement. Saying that certain people are entitled. I've seen people brush off entitlement due to different circumstances. So I'm curious why are people entitled and when you think it's okay for people to be entitled.

I mean, entitled to what?  Everyone is entitled to common decency. Other people's things or material possessions? No one should be entitled to those.

It's okay to be entitled when it comes to what should be universal rights. You are entitled to education, universal healthcare and a place to live. Oh, and to things you buy. other than that if you act as entitled you look ridiculous. Hope Im making sense?

I thought that these were pretty basic.

However people nowadays have major entitlement issues thinking they are entitled to everything and anything and it's sickening
