Hair bands and bows

I am all for hair bands and bows if they're serving a purpose
But if your baby is bald and you're putting bows and bands around their head what are you doing? Why do it?! Especially when it irritates the baby.
A baby isn't a fashion statement. Let her be comfy. She isn't a Christmas tree that needs to be draped in unnecessary decorations.
