"Hold my Heart"

I'm an 18 year old going into college along with my now 19 year old boyfriend. (We're not going to the same school, but we're planking on visiting one another when we can)

Last night we were on skype talking and he suddenly gets quiet before saying, "Baby, I have a huge mission for you, should you decide to take it."

I kind of smiled at his approach to whatever he'd wanted to mention and said yes, of course.

He looks me dead in the eyes and smiles and says, "before and during, hopefully after, will you hold my heart?"

I was surprised, he's not usually like that. I asked, hold your heart?

He nodded and said, "it's all duct tape, staples, clay, and bits and pieces, but I'd like you to hold my heart for as long as you can."

I agreed.

I love these little moments, even though they're only seconds long, I hope to remember them most.
