Ladies!

I'm looking for any Ob-gyn recommendations you have. I have many friends that have given birth around Chicagoland but none in the actual city. I still have some calls out but would love to hear your thoughts too!

I'm looking for a provider that might be good for a first-time mother that currently has no chronic or ongoing care needs. I'm interested in natural birth and would prefer not to have a c-section (as I'm sure many of us would). I'm hoping to deliver at Northwestern (Prentice) or Rush.

I really like my doctor now but scheduling has been a bit of a nightmare. It's hard to get in months in advance and that worries me. Her hours are not very flexible and her office is downtown in the Loop. I don't work close to any public transportation so parking is very $$ each time I go. This wasn't a big deal once or twice a year but now that it's going to be much more than that I'm worried about it being feasible.

My current provider's last appointment of the day is at 3:30 pm so if you know your provider sees patients later than that, that's a big plus! And if they are on North Side, even better. Also - I (luckily) have an excellent PPO insurance plan through a major provider so that is less of a worry of mine.
