Prior to getting Mirena today, I had no idea how the insertion would go. Not many people talk about how it felt but more about how great it is. I don't doubt that it's great long term, however that insertion had me contemplating life. You know those cramp pains where it makes you wish you were a guy for a minute? That was me. On a scale of 1-10 it was a 9.5 on the pain scale, and I have a high pain tolerance. I was on the table shook. It's an intense cramp, then after it's over you have cramps like you're starting your period. It's uncomfortable as well. I don't want to scare anyone but going in blind, I wish I would have been able to prepare myself. I'm excited for when I get over this crampy hump. Luckily I get to sit in bed and watch Grey's Anatomy, so I guess it's a win.
