Cloth diapers vs. Disposables. Which ones would you recommend?

I'm curious to see which diapers mothers prefer and why. I'm a FTM due soon and tired of watching boxes of diapers pile up, it's making my nerves bad lol

We are doing cloth for the cost benefit, earth benefit, and they can reduce the amount of diaper rash. My friend who used them swears by them! It's just about having a system in place that works for you and your family

I don't have the patience or time to wash the cloth diapers. I just like the convenience of tossing them in the trash.

I'm doing disposables until my baby fits into my one-size cloth diapers that are supposed to start fitting at 8lbs. I expect we will be in cloth within the first few weeks. I am doing this because I didn't feel like investing in enough newborn sized cloth diapers and don't feel like figuring out the folds on old fashioned ones. 
After baby is a little bigger we are transitioning into cloth pocket diapers. I am also a FTM but everyone I have communicated with about these diapers is very happy with them. We are using all Mama Koala brand. The price is amazing. It is recommended to have about 24 diapers for washing every two days (so you wash on day three) and if you do Mama Koala you can get all 24 for $160 on Amazon with microfiber absorbent inserts included. They fit up to 35 lbs so I don't see myself needing different diapers before my baby is potty trained. 
How fast does someone using disposables go through the same $160? I know there will be slightly more work involved in cloth diapering but the cost savings is a crazy good advantage. 
Plus they take up soooo much less space! You don't need a whole closet set aside to store your cloth diapers, just throw them in a box or drawer. 
Cloth diapers are also often REALLY cute. I know some companies make attempts at cute prints on disposables, but seriously how do they think they can compete with this?

Disposable. Scrubbing poop just doesn't fit into my lifestyle, lol. I save the earth in other ways. For example, almost all the clothes and baby gear we have is used!

I just don't want to use cloth diapers. But I know they are good for the environment. I don't want to hassle with having them picked up or I have to drop them off at the company that cleans them. I'd rather just use disposable ones and be done with it. So I guess my reasoning is more of convenience.

We're going to do disposables for the first month or so as we adjust to new parenthood, sleep deprivation, learning everything, etc. and then we will switch to cloth diapers. I was gifted a couple boxes of disposables and I bought 18 cloth diapers and we were gifted about 9 more from my shower - meaning that in total I will have spent $180 total on diapers until our daughter is potty trained (with the exception that we'll buy disposable on vacation and when we're at church). Not too bad and since I'll be a stay-at-home mom I don't mind doing the extra laundry.
