Spotting abnormally?!!

Hi! Just started ttc baby #2 and I JUST had my first period since baby #1 at the end of July. My cycle has ALWAYS been extremely regular with no spotting in between. This time around I've had spotting when it was suppose to be ovulation. About three days in a row now and actually was a little "heavier" spotting and pink today instead of brown. Could this just be from going so long without having a cycle?! I went approx a year and a half (during pregnancy and breastfeeding).
