How do I have it but not my partner ??????

I was diagnosed in December before I knew what was going on I had sex with my partner a couple of times during what I know now was an full blown OB.... he never got tested but says someone he had messed with doesn't have it. So, does that mean he doesn't have it?

ppl dnt always show symptoms...some ppl have it 3+ before ever showing signs of it if ever...there must be an outbreak present in order for them to swab it....i had 2 false negatives before I got a positive... (did not show up in blood screening) I had to wait for another  outbreak to have it tested...regular std screening dnt always test for hsv especially if u dnt ask.... this is a complicated disease  you'll here 1,000 different situations and scenarios so good luck...but yes to answer your question has not in the clear sometimes there's no telling he may never have any symptoms n may jus be carrying it.

A lot of people don't know this, but it's far more difficult for men to get herpes than women. So there's a chance that he may not have picked it up from you.
