Advice for 9month old

Hey girls. My son is 9 months old. He will not hold his bottle for anything other than playing with it. The same way for a sippy although a soppy he'll try to drink from it but doesn't turn it up to get drink. Is there anything I can do to help him figure this out? I want him off his bottle before he's a year. But he won't drink from a soppy correctly. We're still having to prop up his bottles or hold them for him to drink. Picture of our boy for attention.
