Any moms out there who's baby is lactose intolerant?

My daughter is almost 13 months. I've been slowly attempting to transition to whole milk but haven't had much success. She's gotten fairly bad diarrhea and throws up anytime I give it to her (I've done a breast milk/whole milk combo in sippy cups for her) I was wondering if this could be a sign of a possible lactose intolerance? I nursed her with no issue though and had milk/dairy regularly in my diet, so this is what has me stumped. I attempted to talk to my doctor about it and she wasn't much help. She suggested soy- which I'm not too crazy about. She's been fine on lactose free milk but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar. 
   
The other doctor I saw told me she should have started to wean off breast milk at six months old 🙃. We also only have ONE lactation consultant in our whole county. Welcome to Alabama

Dr. that told you you should've weaned at six months is an idiot… There's really nothing natural about that. Human breast milk has lactose also, so it's probably not lactose intolerant… I would guess it's the fact that it's from a cow that's the problem… Maybe you could try goats milk? Or just formula… But if they are allergic to cows milk I don't think there's much you can do besides avoid it

I have my daughter on Holle Goat formula bc she cannot handle cows milk formula.

My brother couldn't handle cows milk when he was younger. We were all breastfed. I can remember dad driving to a goat farm to pick up fresh goats milk for him. I don't blame you for not wanting to use soy milk. Good luck.

My son was lactose intolerant when he was born. I breast fed and had to cut all dairy from my diet. When he turned one I slowly (very very very very slowly) introduced milk to his diet. At about 15 months he had completely outgrown it. Maybe try cutting all dairy and slowly adding it back. I didn't start with whole milk, but rather foods/drinks with a very low % of milk. Good luck.

Cows milk isn't recommended as a first milk anymore. In our parents day this is all they gave us. Well now they know how unhealthy it is. They are now able to link many childhood illnesses and diseases to cows milk. 😬
Dr Sears and kellymom websites have really informative posts about different milks and their benefits. Some moms don't do animal milk at all but plant based. I found that too stressful, worrying about weather or not dd was getting enough proper fat for brain development so I'm doing goats milk. It's more like human casein and is usually tolerated well by the kiddos. 
Don't blame you a bit for wanting to stay away from soy 👍🏻

You can try almond milk, it's really good for you. I refuse to ever drink soy milk.

it's made for baby cows
it's full of growth hormones and antibiotics...not healthy at all
just feed your child healthy foods and have your child drink water
