Coughing due to teething?

My son is three months old. He has started teething he's been drooling a lot and he starts coughing. I believe he has too much draw in his mouth. Sometimes it worries me I'm scared he is Chokeing. Is this normal? What can I do to prevent it?

hello! it's pretty normal for them to cough due to their drool being in their mouth as it goes to the back of the throat. my daughter was the same ..you could try giving him a cloth type teether that helps me soak up the amount of drool in their mouth. or lay him on his front so the droll doesn't go to the back of his throat. 
frequent drinks of water can help clear the mouth also.
