Apparently PetSmart changed the type of antibiotics they carry to make it harder for human consumption and Petco stopped carrying it altogether. 
If you look at Amazon review for fish antibiotics you see stuff like this.

What do you guys think of this?

I'd rather pay $15 than $150 for something that does the same thing. A lot of antibiotics prescribed to pets are also prescribed to humans and have the same functions in both human and animal bodies. So no, I don't think this is weird.

I don't know anything about fish antibiotics, but most meds prescribed for animals are the same meds humans use (used to be a vet tech). But why would you take a medicine that's not prescribed for you/your weight? Seems very dangerous.

I have used pain killers prescribed for a dog and I have given my dog meds for a UTI and anti anxiety meds that were prescribed for a person. Most of the time it's the exact same medication, just in different dosing. The only difference is that anything prescribed for animals doesn't have to go through the same FDA approval process and therefor will be less expensive. The mammal body is essentially the same, the major difference being our metabolisms, which is why animals frequently require higher doses for meds than humans.
