what to do with pets while at the hospital?

I have a German Shephard, we were planning on having our friends look after her while I am in labor, however they are moving sooner than we all thought. There's noone else I really trust with her as she can be strange with other dogs. Our hospital is 2 hours away and we live overseas from both our families so no one can pop in and check on her. She hasn't had her rabies shots yet (we forgot) so she can't stay in a kennel. Any thoughts on what we can do with her for the 2+ days we are away
