Can you be a Christian if you are part of the LGBTQA+ community?

I identify as pan and genderfluid. I have been struggling with my religion the past few months, for my family says anyone who is LGBTQ+ cannot have a relationship with God.

I am a christian and I will always be one because it's part of my identity. It's who I am, i don't ever want to lose my connection with god because he's been in my life for years on end. I am queer, and I haven't told my family... I know that most old school christians believe it's an abomination and god with hate us... but he can't hate the child he created. He gives unconditional love and guides us, so I trust him that who I am right now is because of him. Two huge parts of what identifies me. Keep being who you are and know you're loved and can still be a Christian.

Your sexuality means nothing about your relationship with God, rather it does say something about theirs when lie about yours based on doing something they don't agree with. Make your relationship with God about you and the Father. Our brothers and Sisters are not a part of it.

The Bible was translated wrong, the Bible says "man shall not lay with man" but in Latin it actually says "man shall not lay with boy" so the Bible said nothing about being against homosexuality but it did say that pedophilia was a sin

Personally, I feel like you can believe in God without identifying as a Christian or any other religion for that matter, but if you feel that your beliefs truly line up with Christian philosophy, I think it's up to you and your conviction -- not what anyone else says even if that person also identifies as Christian.

I don't believe in God. But if I would, I would think that my god loves all his children and he said to love each other. And if he doesn't accept me after he made me this way, then he is not my God.

People can be whatever they want. Religion is actually not inherently exclusive. Its twisted that way to manipulate large groups of people.
