34 weeks, Red spotting

Anyone else have spotting and go into labour? This is my second, my first was an incredibly easy pregnancy. Not even Braxton Hicks. This one though, I've had back pain, pelvic pressure, cramps, diarrhea, for over a week, including losing my mucus plug continuously and now bright red spotting. I did have an ultrasound last week and baby was head down nestled into my pelvis and cervix. I called my midwife and she wants to see me tomorrow. I just wanted to hear other mommies experiences.
