What's the ideal time to wait to have another baby after having a csection if you want to try for a vbac? I've had 2 c sections..

My midwife says a year. There isn't any extra healing to the incision waiting 18 months, just to your whole body in general. Your hips aren't even back to normal position until a year pp. I got pregnant a year exactly after my csection, we wanted our babies close in age. No issues here and I'm going for a VBAC 🤷🏻‍♀️

I've heard up to 2 years but my doctor recommended our kids be at least 18 months apart. Any less than that would not give your body enough time to heal. We wanted our kids close in age and managed to get pregnant when our first was 10 months old, making them 19 months apart if all goes to plan and my doctors say I'm a great candidate for VBAC. That said, I'm sure everybody heals differently and some doctors are more cautious than others. I'd check with your own doctor to see what they say.
