What would you do- switched a birth

Question

I'm watching switched at birth and I can't help but wonder, what would real people do if this happened?
What would you do if you found out when your child was, let's say.. 10, they were switched? Would you want your real child back?
Would it be different if they were 2 or 3? 
What if the child didn't want you in their life? Let's say you are a happy household and they grew up with one parent, or something to make them hate you because they didn't get the life they were supposed to have?

I guess I'd want to keep the child I raised. I'd feel terrible but we would have built a bond. It's a horrible thing to happen and it's hard to say what you'd do unless you were in that situation

I would definitely want to contact my biological kid and keep the kid I was raising. If they were in a bad situation (abuse, neglect, something) I would want to adopt them back. Like I would want to take them in regardless, but I would hate to rip them from the people that raised them and the life that they know.  Would that even be adoption though or just taking your kid back. 🤔 it would get even more complicated if the other mom involved wanted something different than I do. Idk that's a rough situation. The hospital I gave birth at was so strict about identifying and matching tags to avoid baby theft and mixups.

I would want to find a way to share joint custody between both of us sets of parents. If they were unfit I'd want to keep both, but excluding that possibility, if we were both good sets of parents, I would want to have my birth child half of the time during vacations- like you take them both half of the school vacations, and I take them both, so the kids get to know each other, and I get to know my child. It would be a difficult situation, but I think two sets of civilized parents could find a good compromise like that, because I would love both children and hope that the other parents feel the same way.

They just switched them back to the rightful parents
