Will hospital still treat me if I have a bill

I was just in the hospital for an emergency appendectomy and am expecting a bill of a few thousand dollars. I'm going to call and see if I can set up a payment plan, but I'm 26 weeks pregnant as well. In Pennsylvania, will they still treat me when I go into labor and am ready to have the baby (due in November) if I am outstanding bill?

Yes they will. It is illegal to deny emergency medical attention no matter what you owe. If you go into labor, they HAVE to treat you.

Ask to speak with financial aid services through the hospital. the will have in house arrangement for anti payment plans and sliding scales. Let them know you're expecting.
