Detroit (wasn't sure which category to place this in)

Amber

If you haven't gone to see this movie, you NEED to.

I have been ignorant to the world around me, and this movie opened my eyes to it. And the thing is, it takes place in 1967. Nothing has changed, and that's a fucking problem. It is unreal because it is so real. Just go and see it.

We (white people) need to acknowledge that we have done nothing but enslave, terrorize, discriminate, murder, everything you can think of, to black people, and it hasn't stopped. We need to stop acting like they are out of line for their actions, they aren't. Everything they are doing, everything they are saying, is completely justified in an America that isn't just. If you don't understand that, I suggest you educate yourself. All this freaking out about a white girl getting killed in a protest, but there are black men, women, and children being killed regularly simply because of the color of their skin. It's sad that she died, yes. But y'all need to look at the bigger picture. How did she die? Who killed her? Why are people even protesting? That's the bigger picture. That's what you need to see. What is happening in Charlottesville is so important. Pay attention to the why.
