Stupid/embarrassing question

I'm not a TTC newbie so I am embarrassed a bit to ask this question.

Is the discharge that is there after you masturbate the same as ewcm? It feels the same so is it safe for sperm to swim through? I only ask because my husband is coming home early and we plan to bd. I want to flick the bean but I want a baby more. Any cervical mucus experts out there?
