***Do you regret not going to college?!

If not... please tell me why and what you ended up doing!

I regret going to college lol. Student loans for the rest of my life. I'd push trade school for my child unless they wanted to be a doctor or lawyer.

I attended some basic classes at our local community college - did that for a year. Paid for it with Pell Grants (because I'm poor). 
But after a year, I realized that I wanted to utilize my artistic skills. So I dropped out of college. I have people ask me all the time why I don't go to this art school or that. And my answer is always this: Pell Grants won't cover even a fraction of the costs and I don't want to be in student loan debt the rest of my life. AND because I don't need college to tell me I'm an artist. I already am one. Have been my entire life. The only benefit art school gives you is a portfolio - but even that is a mess because it's an eclectic portfolio. And when you apply for whatever art job you want, you need a portfolio specific to that job; not a hodge-podge mess of various styles.

I'm currently in college and sometimes I do regret being here. It's expensive. It's stressful. The dorm life is cramped, the food is subpar and the campus I attend is in a small town in the foothills of my state so it's rather isolated. One requires a car to be able to get anywhere so to be a student without a car is awful.
On top of that my depression has gotten worse since arriving back here. I know it's for my future but damn sometimes I just want to drop out and never come back.

I don't regret it because I have 3 amazing kids that i get to stay home with. I get to watch them grow and learn new things. Had I gone to college I may not have my kids.

Trade school, is pretty much a work as you earn .. make as much if not more than your college paperwork wielding counterparts, in a shorter time frame. PLUS you still earn your degree in person or online...  which you can use to transfer to a Uni. I love the route I took.  Unlike interning but it's definitely my best decision ☺️

I loved college- it was a blast and I met so many amazing people there. Granted I don't have any student debt thanks to college funds my parents started when I was born and partial scholarships. Even so, many jobs in business, marketing, etc won't even give you a second glance if you don't have a degree of some sort. I've since gone back to school while working full time and gotten my masters in public health and now am working on my doctorate, which I've paid for in full myself. I love learning and it opens doors, so win/win. It's hard sometimes while working full time but I still feel like I live a full social life and still manage to get good grades, etc.

Hell no. Neither me or my husband went to college and he has a very good job, I am a stay at home mom so I have my dream job and neither of us have any school loan debt which is great. His mom is in her 50s still paying off school loans and working a job that isn't even in the field she studied for

Can there be a sometimes answer? I didn't go because my grades were not good in high school and I didn't know what I wanted to do and still don't. I have a great family but wish I could provide better so I guess my answer is sometimes. Life happens!!!
