How Far Along to Plan your Baby Shower?

I'm a first time mom and really looking forward to my baby shower. However, I have no idea when the right time is. Any thoughts on how far along is the appropriate time to have one?

I think between like 30-35 weeks is good :) I had mine @ 33 weeks and it was perfect

it's not a matter of apropiate or not . it's a matter of when u feel comfortable,  ready and when u think u will still be able to entertain. I had it at 24 weeks and I'm glad I did. it gave me time to sort through all gifts, wash all clothes and buy anything I needed that I didn't get at the shower. by 24 weeks I was not able to do much,  because I had a high risk pregnancy. I was in pain, puking everything,  and in a FOUL mood most days. I'm glad I got the shower out of the way fast. u do what u think it's right for ur situation. I personally am glad that I didn't have to lift a finger.  all I had to do is show up. my mil and sister did everything,  invited everyone,  even made sure to note who brought what,  and snt out thank u letters to everyone.  if it was my choice,  I would had never had one, because it was a lot if work and I could not even stand, much less prepare it all. my mil and did outdone themselves with it. it was perfect.  and 24 weeks was a good idea, because shortly after that, I was in bed on bed rest the remainder of pregnancy

I had mine when I was 30 weeks and it was perfect because I wasnt too uncomfortable to enjoy it all! Plus it gave me plenty of time to get everything ready for the baby but not too much time because then I'd be incredibly antsy 😂 now I'm 36+2 and we have everything we need and are just waiting for her to make her appearance 😊

Anytime that suits you.  I opted to have mine between 30-36 weeks.  That way it's not too early but not too late.

Mines at 32wks. Family was pushing me to have it later but I want to have time to wash everything and not be stressed about getting everything done. Also, i am a FTM and will have a lot of stuff to purchase after the shower (small family) and i didn't want everything coming out from one paycheck. I kinda want to space out the spending!

I'm only nearly 6 weeks along but I plan on aiming for about 6-7 months. just early enough to figure out and buy anything more we need :)

Mine will be when I am almost 28 weeks. That is earlier than most I believe, but my friend that is planning my shower (one of my friends helping) is two months ahead of me pregnant also. We chose to have it early so she could participate:)
