Midwife short meetings? Concerns?

Ok...I hired a home birth midwife thinking it would be an in depth relationship. We have had 2 appointments, I'm 20 weeks. Both appointments were only 30 minutes, she's only asked me "what's your diet like" with no more nutritional instruction than that. No blood tests. And one thing that concerned me a little was her Doppler doesn't read heart rate and she just counts in her head? Are these normal parts of the "hands off" approach? Or red flags?

Red flag is the Doppler and no blood tests. My appointments are three times shorter with my OB I get about ten minutes excluding the first one.

That is like the OPPOSITE of my midwife experience. I rotate between four of them. There are standard questions for every appointment. They always measure my tummy and listen to the heartbeat with a Doppler. 
But I also advocate for myself. I come in with lots of questions for them. 
Do you feel like she listens when you ask questions??
