How can I get my son not nervous around strangers?

My son is 5 1/5 months and kinda gets nervous around strangers or it's the noise that gets him upset. I had a friend hold him and he started to cry.

He just wants to be with people he is comfortable with. All you can do is have people over so he sees them more and then he might be more comfortable. He isn't a newborn anymore and it's becoming more aware of what's going on around him and is just clingy with people he knows.

It's normal. I was very anxious about my son's reactions to people when he was a little baby because I didn't want him to be as socially anxious as I am. He's 11 months now and is one of the most social kids I've ever been around.

you can't. baby's like who they like. they are their own person.you cannot project yourself onto them

it's a stranger danger reaction. if you wasmt your friend to be able to hold him she needs to cook e around more often. nothing n you can do about it.
