My boyfriend did the same thing! He just told his dad and I'm almost 21 weeks. I told my family early on. It's his first but I have two with my ex.

Have an open and honest discussion on when he'd like to tell everyone, and how soon you'd like to tell everyone.

Just try to make it more serious, I think it's okay he wants to take his time, just make it very clear you want a guesstimate. I have a goofy hearted guy and sometimes I have to be like "NO. Seriously. What's going on, because I'm confused." 😂
