My daughter was diagnosed with thrush at 4.5 weeks (tongue only) and we were prescribed oral nystatin for her (and topical for me). The directions on the bottle say to swish it in your mouth which obviously an infant can't do, and the doctor said to paint it on with a q tip... we tried that and nothing happened then we tried a syringe in the side of her mouth so she could slosh the medicine around more and that seems to only help the tip of her tongue where she tries to push the medicine out... any other ideas before I call the pediatrician tomorrow?? It's been a week and a half and it's finally seeming to bother her and affect her latch..
