boyfriend lied about not being a virgin

so just tonight I brought the "fact" that we both have experienced other people and he goes "well about that... I never actually had sex with anyone" he told me that he had had sex with two other girls that were just friends with benefits. I had sex with two other guys one a long-term bf and the other just a fling. he told me he couldn't get it up with a friend so they never did it. I didn't get upset with him because he was clearly embarrassed. should I have been more mad at him for lying or should I be more comforting? what should I do so this doesn't keep getting brought back up? also what didn't help was that the other two guys I have had sex with were both virgins and now he made the third guy I've taken virginity from. any advice out there?
