Miscarriage almost a year ago..

Hello ladies! Last September I had a miscarriage with my second baby.. we have been trying since then. But haven't fallen pregnant yet. About 6 months Into trying, I went and saw a doctor. He didn't see anything holding us back, so he prescribed me clomid. With my odds of twins already very high and we only wanted ONE MORE kid.. we decided to not take it and keep trying. We figured we would let god show us when it's time. But every time my period is about to come, I start to over think and hope for a bfp! Happens Every time. Like right now I'd love to test lol. My period is due any day now. My questions is.. how long did it take to get pregnant after a miscarriage? Or what could be holding me back from getting pregnant?! I miscarriage early on.. like 7 weeks and I've had perfect cycles every 32 days. I also just started getting EWCM, in July of this year. Hoping for some results and answers :( I feel stuck.
