High risk???

Question

Anyone else dealing with a high risk pregnancy? I had a scare regarding spina bifida, then diagnosed with gestational diabetes and now formally diagnosed with preeclampsia with twice weekly visits and delivery at 37 weeks if things stay stable until then. Having a hard time with bed rest and restrictions and just the anxiety of whether the preeclampsia will stay stable or not.

I'm high risk because I had my son at 27wks 9 months ago. Thought I had a short cervix but it's been long this whole time.. And I'm not 30 wks 1 day. Hope all stays good with you though and the preeclampsia under control.

I'm High Risk also I had my daughter last year at thirty seven weeks but due to my high bp I was in the hospital from thirty four weeks till I delivered her this pregnancy seems better but I'm still on bed rest and weekly visits with my OB or high risk specialist

I try not to stress about it to begin with. I've been high risk since I got pregnant. I had a miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy with twins a couple of months before I got pregnant with this current set of twins. I started having high blood pressure issues in the first trimester. Then in the 2nd trimester I started having actually contractions about 18 weeks (lol had no idea that's what they were for about two weeks). Then we started having issues controlling the BP and my cervix started to shorten dramatically and I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. 
I'm 30 weeks now and my doc wants me to try to hold on another couple of weeks. My BP keeps getting out of control and I've only been able to gain 8lbs from how sick I've been and I know that's not a particularly good number when you are having twins. I just don't stress too much about it. Stressing never does anyone any good plus if the babies are ready to come out and my body physically can't keep up with the pregnancy any more there really isn't a whole lot I can do about it. Just enjoy the ride while you can!

Yeah I have GD. Idk if they officially labeled me as high risk though since I don't need insulin and I don't have any other issues so far... I really hate having GD though. Most of the time I don't mind following the meal plan, but occasionally I want a cup of coffee or some little extra snack and I'm worried it'll throw off my levels 😩 thankfully, they said if the baby continues measuring small/normally, I can deliver on my own with no induction... fingers crossed and praying! Good luck with your GD and preeclampsia. Preeclampsia is very scary, but remember that a lot of women have it and are fine 🙂 just listen to the doctors and try not to stress. Maybe take some nice, warm baths and get some massages from your partner or friends!

Me they just put me on BP meds today! They are making me redo my 3 hr glucose test because they think some how I really should of failed even though I passed! And I start next week with biweekly nst and fluid level checks weekly!
