Thinking about the pill, thoughts?

Karen

For background info: I'm 14, which is evidently young for BC, but I'm considering asking my color about the pill for the following reasons:

1. Terrible acne and acne scarring that has not gone away even with prescribed creams/ointments

2. Extremely painful, heavy periods that last up to 10 days

3. Spotting and irregular periods (it's not even ovulation spotting, just mysterious blood showing up with no warning.)

The weird thing is, we recently made an appointment with an endocrinologist. She had blood drawn and all the tests came back normal, though. So I don't actually have any medical conditions, my uterus just thinks that it has to throw a massive tantrum every month anyway. I'm getting sick and tired of the acne, irregularity, pain, cramps, etc; I even get fevers and chills and vomiting on my periods. It sucks because 1 week every month I'm totally incapaciTated and I don't even know which week it'll be!

Did any of you guys start the pill at 14, and if so, which symptoms did you get? I don't mind nausea or headaches (tbh that's a million times better than what's happening now) but I really don't want to gain weight.

Also, how can I get my mother to OK the pill? I'm definitely not going to be having sex on it (ace, ace baby) but she thinks of it as Unnatural and Bad Chemicals that will make me a hormonal sex-crazed heathen for some reason. Did anyone else have problems going on the pill because of their parents, and if so, how did you convince them it was OK?

Thank you so much for your time and answers already :) I just wanted to hear more about the pill from a group of people that uses it before I ask about it.
