My lo is almost two weeks and I was told by my lactation consultant that she has a lip and tongue tie. I currently breastfeed but have to use a shield. I was just wondering if anyone else went through something like this and if after you got the lip and tongue tie fixed, were you able to breastfeed without a shield?

I just want her to be able to continue to breastfeed and I really want to be confident in breastfeeding. Right now, since I have to use the shield, I'm not confident and dread going out because using the shield is hard for me :( Thank you for your insights!
