Did y'all get a GB strep test done?

If so did they do vagina and rectum? I'm 35 weeks and had my appt today and he checked my vagina not rectum. So I don't know if that's a GB strep test

It's usually at 36 weeks- if they did test for it... in sure they swabbed your rectum... it's so fast and light don't really feel it

it is, they are getting samples to make sure you don't have any infections or bacteria that's in your vagina. if so, they would give you something for it when it's time for you to go in labor. My doctor explain this procedure to me and I have to take my test on the 1st, it's no biggy.

I'm like so confused because I know they're suppose to swab both the vagina and the rectum but everyone here is saying the outside. My doctor swabbed the outside of my vagina and then went down and put the swab up my anus, I mean like barely but still in it 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have my 36 week check today so we'll see. I wasn't given a heads up that it would be done this week

Both for me at 36 weeks 2 days. It was really fast and for me it was no big deal. Modesty went out the window..lol. My test came back positive. I will get an antibiotic once I go into labor

Had mine done at exactly 36 weeks. Quick swab of both areas, wasn't even a big deal, went so quickly!

They swabbed the inside of my vagina and then wiped across my bum

My midwife told me last time they swab vagina and perineum so maybe they swabbed you perineum and you just didn't really feel it!
