Breastfeeding with a pacifier

Momma's who did both breastfeed and pacifier from day one did you breastfeed first then give a pacifier?

I am having a c section and my tubes tied and know it will be a little while before I see my little one to breastfeed and my dear husband asked me if I want them to give a "plug", as he lovingly calls them, in the nursery or to wait. I am torn I know I have given strick instructions that if a bottle has to be given for an emergency purpose that it is to only be given out of the bottles I am taking and only at 1/2 oz at a time.
