Twins? But now only one...

Question

This has nothing to do with me however this has crossed my mind many times in the past week
My cousin has three children 2 girls and a boy. However her second girl (second child) was actually a set of twins however the other twin died in the womb. And the one who was born is now 6 years old! My question is would you tell your daughter or son when he or she got older that they had a twin that died via miscarriage, etc.? My opinion is that I would when the child got older however I want to know others opinions. Obviously it is her choice and this is not used to influence anyone at all!! Her oldest child was 3 or 4 when she knew that "mommy was having another baby" but didn't know that their was two and she made it clear to all of us that we will not tell her that there was two....what are your opinions vote or comment!

I would tell her when old enough to understand, I was actually a twin sadly my mother didn't know there were two of us & my twin didn't grow pass 20 weeks while I did, she was told during c section.

I wouldn't keep it a secret, but i also wouldn't go out of the way to tell her. if I came up somehow which I'm sure it would, then yes I would say something but there is no reason to keep it a secret forever

Well the older she gets, the weirder she will feel when she learns. But I think it's disrespectful to the baby that died and to her sister for her to not be known! I think I would have already told her and I would be celebrating both babies birthdays every year but that's just me.

My mom had a miscarriage with my twin very early in her pregnancy. I've always known. It never did me any harm. I've just always wondered what it would be like if my twin had survived.

I was pregnant with triplets and lost two of them at 8 weeks & was told I was most likely going to lose the last one also. I have a 4 1/2 month old now. I plan on telling her, she is our miracle baby ❤
