True or false labor??

I'm 40 weeks pregnant tomorrow. Since last night I started having painful contractions. It feels like someone is ripping my hips away from the bottom of my spine every time I have one 😑 my back hurts (dull ache) in between contractions and kind of feel like I'm constipated but I'm not. anyway, they aren't regular but they've been happening all day long. They're getting stronger but not closer together. Should I call my doctor and go into L&D; or does it sound like false labor since it hasn't progressed? I feel dumb calling and its nothing
