Anyone's multiples get missed in first u/s?

Just wondering how common it is fir twins or multiples to go infected at around 8w. Thanks!

My twins were missed at the first 2 ultrasound by vaginal at 5&6 weeks. At the ER and at the OB's office due to their position. At 8 weeks with external scan they were both there. I couldn't stop crying as soon as I saw they were both there. From the time I got pregnant I kept telling my mom I thought there was two but had just gotten used to the thought that there was only once since we had 2 ultrasounds to verify.

My twins were found at a 6 week sonogram. 2 sacs, 2 HR's.

Yes, they did a transvaginal US at 6w3d but it was quick and they stopped after they saw 1. Then 3 days (6w6d) later I went to a specialist. They did an abdominal ultrasound and both babies popped up right away. 
I switched care over to the specialist shortly after and dropped the OB, it still annoys me just thinking about it, lol. (It was a little more than just their missing a baby, but that's a pretty big deal).
