When should I buy the "big things"?

I started pretty much as soon as we found out gender. It was easier on us to buy big things slowly so we didn't have to fork out a lot of money at once.

The earlier the better trust me it take a lot of stress and thing off your shoulders later and you can get more thing s done if already have and put together because you never know when your bundle of joy will be here

Whenever you want or earlier then better!!  You'll have much more to worry about as things progress and having the big stuff out of the way helps (in my opinion).  I'm almost 20 weeks and we already have the crib, dresser, car seat & stroller!  Plus the earlier you start the longer you have to save money for bigger cost items!

We just got things when we had the money for them, started around 20 weeks and now at 39 weeks we pretty much have everything.

Whenever you want. It might be helpful to know if you're having a boy or girl first, to color coordinate some things. Some say wait until after the shower, but I didn't want anyone buying all my big stuff. my husband and I personally got all our big stuff little by little, then put all our small stuff on the registry.
