Infant Tylenol dosage, do you go by the weight or age?

LO is 18lbs (which it says give 1.5ml) but only 7months (which it says to give only 1ml) . what am I supposed to go by?

I've always gone by weight! Just because the bigger you are the more dosage you can handle. If you're worried do a little less than suggested!

pediatric nurse here. ALWAYS ALWAYS by weight. any other way can cause major issues depending on drug class and child weight

We JUST went to the doctor two weeks ago and my son is just over 18 lbs and his dosage is 4 ml. Are you sure you're reading that chart correctly?

ALWAYS weight. I work hand in hand with pediatricians. Never second guess this. It is always going to be by weight.

Weight! But my daughter was 11 pounds, 6 ounces at her 2 month appt and her doctor said she gets 2 ml. So it's weird to me that you're saying 18 pounds gets less than that.

My pediatrician always tells me to go by weight and do the dose in the lower range. If the kid is 30 pounds and can have 5mL per suggestion, I go to the 25-29 category and do that dose.
