Dating with kids ?

How long after your break up did you start to get back out there ? How long until you found somebody? How long until you introduced them to your child(ren)? How old was/is your child(ren) ?

Hubby and I had our first date March 16th 2016. The second was March 20th. At that point I told my best friend and he told his brother that we wanted to get married. We didn't tell each other until April though. We introduced the kids at 2 weeks. Got engaged in April and married in May 2016.
This was VERY different from our previous dating experiences. Neither of us introduced our kids to anyone else we'd dated. We dated for a while before meeting each other too. We also are older and both divorced so we felt pretty secure in knowing who we are and what we wanted. It hasn't been easy but it has been wonderful. We have no regrets. Every relationship is different, so don't worry about setting a timeframe and do what feels right for the situation.

I met my SO like 2 months after his break up and met his daughter, 6 months old at the time, 2 days later.

I waited a year before attempting to date, I just wasn't ready and wanted to spend time on myself. I waited a year to introduce my daughter to the guy I'm seeing and she will be 5 next month.

I waited a year before I started to date and it was 5 months before my son (13 at the time) met my boyfriend, now husband. It's been 3 years and we all get along great!!
