Why do guys peer pressure you to drink fast?

I like to drink slow and watch my liquor. But whenever I drink with guys they always want me to drink fast and peer pressure me or say something like "I want to see you drunk" "you're baby sipping, keep up with me."

Same! I HATE guys who do this. It's so annoying. Let me drink at my own fucking pace! They're always like "I just wanna make sure you're having a good time" like okay, I'd be having a better time if you left me the fuck alone, creep.

Guys like that love to "rescue" regardless how the person they rescue get distressed they still have an urgency to be the knight. Like if you're throwing up they will be the one to rescue- problem is that drunk people don't take care of other drunk people well. 
Also I've heard hundreds of guys stay they have a better chance of getting laid when the girl is drunk. 
Another reason could be they're extremely competitive.
Last reason is because they're dumb and aweful at conversations so they try and make your "Wild side" come out so they don't have to do the thinking in the relationship.

My boyfriend doesn't pressure me to drink fast but we don't drink often. the one time we did he didn't expect me to get drunk but I drank at my own pace. in the past guys would want to drink with me bc they wanted to see me drunk and have sex which I knew so I didn't drink with them
