What the hell!?

Question

I have gotten strep throats three times in the last 8 months and 7 in the last 18 months. What do I do? This is fucking ridiculous and SUCKS. Especially since I have a little one to look after which is hard when you're way under the weather. I'd never gotten sick but maybe once a year before that. 😩 does anyone have experience with recurring strep? What can they do about it? I've tried two diff antibiotics but am limited as I'm breastfeeding.

We had to have our sons tonsils removed because of this. He would get strep 6-7 times a year. His doctor was against him getting his tonsils removed, so I switched doctors and got her opinion. She agreed that he should have them removed. It's been almost a year and he's not had strep since.

I should add, get a new tooth brush after you've had strep. It should help cut down on getting it.

did they do a culture everytime? sometimes it could also be mono if not treated properly the first time. after it's treated it usually remains dormant. or could mean you really need to get your tonsils out! 3x a year is A LOT! I've had it once my whole life.
